Online Mangas: Someone better read these

Gonna start with Onepunch man. Sounds interesting. :]

I'm gonna download the pages to my tablet and read it one my way home. Got any good long story mangas?

Holy crap balls. I would need some more time to be able to upload them. Bio Meat is good so far.

BioMeat Nectar:

I absolutely loved this series. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants to read Horror Manga. There were times where I literally flipped through pages because I wanted to know what was going to happen. It has drama, gore, comedy and pretty deep themes for being a manga. There is even a little love story where you are like, "Oh man, I hope they hook up!"

It starts off kind of slow, and a little confusing. But the fact that it follows the same cast throughout 17 years of their lives, makes you attached to them. So when someone is in danger, you feel anxious and nervous for them.

I hope they make a USBM version of BioMeat for us to enjoy... if you finish the series, you will know what I am talking about!



P.S. The Colonel is the most badass character I have ever seen in Manga.

ok, i will have to amend this statment, bio-meat was one of the better ones in terms of a well developed backstory. to be honest, this one is a lot better than i gave credit for when i said this. i would consider bio-meat in the middle range of interest, and in the upper middle range for story. 

So far I have finished Onepunch Man, Hotel, I am a Hero, Sun Ken Rock and Drifters. I'm on a roll!

--- Onepunch Man: This story follows an average, regular Joe who can't seem to find work, and his adventure in becoming a Superhero. This manga is a mix of comedy, badass art and action. When I read it, I could totally feel the artists, Murata Yuusuke's, inspiration, which is Akira Toriyama, who drew Dragon Ball and DBZ. So you get these action scenes that take place across a city and each character is jumping incredible distances and crushing parts of building, you know, typical Dragon Ball stuff. There is this underlying theme of hard work pays off but the comedy is enough to not make it feel heavy. The deep parts of the manga actually play really well off the energy of the chapters, so when it's time to be serious, the manga makes it feel appropriate. I recommend this read if you enjoy your action spiced with comedy.

--- Hotel: This is a series of short stories, a few are set in the same Universe with different plots. Boichi, who also drew/wrote Sun Ken Rock, also did Hotel. First story follows a super A.I. who sole purpose is to store and protect the worlds last traces of DNA for each living organism, except humans. Humans have destroyed Earths atmosphere with greenhouse gases and the inevitable is confirmed, Global Warming WILL wipe out the Earth we know and a new Venus will form, surface temperatures will reach 230 degress Celius. Louis, the A.I.s name, goes through 27 millions years worth of ordeals. The story tickled my scientific fancy and I loved the ending. Anything that involves the future of human beings, I always love to read. Second story is about a couple who's wife is dying. There is a twist to it, but it is more of a love/M. Night wanna be story. Still a good read. Next up is a man who fights to save the Tuna, which go extinct and quite a few hilarious results in his attempts to revive them. Good reads all of them. Final stories follow the coming of the messiah in a Biblical sense from the point of view of a doctor and high school teen. She becomes pregnant with a child that she believes is the doctors. He refuses to believe it and diagnoses her with a malignant tumor caused by cancer. BUT IT'S NOT A TUMOOOOR! (lol, had to throw that in there.) Last story is about Lilith, a warrior from a timeline where war and tyrants are all there is. She is to become the North Wind Goddess, but is the prophecy true? Short, but the art is amazing, and a good read.

--- I am a Hero: Story is about a Mangaka artist who isn't really the center of anyones world and doesn't seem very reliable. He doesn't get a ton of recognition at his job and has to deal with younger artists who are only using his passion, Manga, as a way to become famous and move on. Suzuki Hideo is his name and being completely passive is his game. The catalysts is a disease that causes the victims to go insane, hallucinate, become violent to themselves and others and not react to pain. It is essentially zombies but like... "28 Days Later" zombies and "The Crazies", zombies. Hideo is caught in the middle but luckily enough, is caught in the middle of the Panic on his way to the shooting range for his local Gun Club, he has to make sure his license recognizes his use of his Shotgun or they will take his license and weapon away. The story's real meat and guts is when Hideo wakes up in the forest after the first nights ordeal, and meets a girl. There is quite a bit to the story and I really enjoyed it, so I will not be speaking more on it, but go read this right away. Best part is, it's not finished yet, and currently chapters 149(?) to 159(?) are released but needs to be scanlated.

--- Sun Ken Rock: This manga is more like a novel man. And it's still going on to do this day! Follows a young man and his true love. She wants to be a Korean police officer, he wants to be with her, so naturally, he wants to be a Korean police officer too. Except he get's scripted into a gang and ends up making them the MOST powerful gang in Korea. Story isn't even close to being finished as there are still loos ends, but a huge climax was hit recently and so it's in the slow phase of chapters right now. Fucking amazing art, concept, execution and themes. I loved everything about this Manga and have become a huge fan of Boichi.

--- Drifters: On the battlefield, a Samurai's forces have retreated to ensure survivor reaches home base and informs the rest of the Samurai's army of the defeat, Toyohiso, the Samurai, only wants one thing. The head of his enemies. After single handily humiliating the attackers forces, he charges head on for the Commander. He is speared, and kept from attaining his goal, but thinking quickly, he pulls out his old flint-lock pistol and shoots him. With the Commander dead, the enemies forces retreat. Toyohiso stumbles around at near death when he is no longer in the forest but in a hallway. There is a man reading a newspaper and directs Toyo to a door. Toyo then finds himself in a world of Dwarves, Elves and other demi-humans. The reason he is here, to fight a war with other "Drifters" against The Black King, (Think Sauron from LOTR) and his army of Goblins, Dragons, etc. Among the "Drifters" are famous icons such as Billy the Kid, Oda Nobonunga, Jean D'Arc, Hannibal and others. Ranging in times from WW1 to the Roman era.

And with that, I am done with my reviews for now.

Just finished reading Monster and holy cow was this one a page turner. It is a mystery and thriller and sometimes even reads as an action manga. It has the best character development in any manga I have ever read, within a few pages you can get attached to a character, and when they are in danger you feel it pretty intensely. This is a smart manga so don't expect to figure this out until the last 2 pages. Literally. I hope you guys enjoy it!
