someone better read at least ONE of these motherfucking awesome manga. AT LEAST one. dont just read one and say, ok im done, FUCK NO. read another. read them all. if you stop after one you might as well sit on your toilet and piss up into your own face.
this is all manga
Rainbow
(Set in the 1950s, the story centers around six junior delinquents and their mentor at the Shōnan Special Reform School near Tokyo. The manga follows the boys' lives during their time in the school (its a REFORM school, a prison school basically) and the years after they leave. this one tells one fucking crazy story. its got some seriously messed up shit in it. its really fucking good. it also has an anime you might be interested in watching. ill link the intro here if you are interested. its a good watch too.
Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei (goodbye Mr. despair)-one of my favorites
(Itoshiki Nozomu is always in despair! Even simple things like paying for the toll on the subway can send him to a despair so deep only attempted suicide is the answer. How Strange is it then, that he should be the teacher of a High School Class filled with students with even more emotional problems than his. This great Comedy will leave you in anything but 'Despair' as you meet each of his students and watch their rediculous and usually over-the-top adventures.)
SUN KEN ROCK
(about a Korean mob group, which forms with a Japanese man at its head, who moves from Japan to Korea to follow a woman he is infatuated with. she also happens to be a cop.)
Drifters
(when great men die, they are sent to an alternate world and become the generals of new mythical races who are under severe oppression by a man who can only be described as... god)
Holyland
(the story of an awkward high school boy who forges a place for himself in the dregs of societies night crowd, where all that matters is the strength of your fist)
Hajime No Ippo
(the story of a bullied high school boy who, by chance, meets a boxer who sets him on a path to discover what true strength really is.......through boxing obviously.)
I Am a Hero
(an outbreak of a disease turns everyone into a really messed up version of zombies. this story follows a neet whos hobby is going to a shooting range with his shotgun. not for the faint of heart)
Shingeki No Kyojin
(humanity has been pushed to extinction by a giant enemy called "titans". humanity must find a way to combat this threat as things go wrong and they are on the brink of total annihilation.)
Bio Meat
(to solve the worlds hunger problems, and a few others, japan and america create bio-meat. an organism that replicates quickly and can eat almost anything to do so. what happens when they get loose?)
Eden No Ori
(a large commercial airline crashes somewhere in the pacific. the survivors of the crash find themselves on an island inhabited by the most dangerous and carnal animals nature has ever produced.)
Vinland Saga
(a Viking boy who, after the murder of his father before his eyes, works for the very man who killed him just so he can get a chance at revenge. also has something to do with vinland, look it up)
Gantz
(people who are about to die find themselves warped to a room with a strange device, they are forced to kill monsters in order to live, and if they score the most points, can have any wish granted)
Btoom!
(the best players of a popular team strategy game focused on bombs are left on an island and forced to play the game for keeps. they must kill eachother to survive. can they do it? find out.)
Claymore
(female warriors fight monsters, former female warriors who release the barriers of demon power they all use to become strong. there is more too it, but i cant use up that much space. look at it)
Berserk
(a man who kills demons. his past is revealed to be bloody and as twisted it can get for a warrior who kills demons. there is a little bit of rape, not much is shown, but is really fucked up story-wise.)
Onepunch Man
(a young man takes up the hobby of being a super hero. he can beat anything in one punch, much to his dismay, and finds it almost stupidly boring. this is some funny stuff, read it.)
Again!!
(a guy with a disappointing high school life falls down the stairs and is teleported back in time 3 years. he can do it all again. what does he change, and how does this strange club fit into it all?)
Wolf Guy
(a werewolf guy goes to a school to live out his days. he catches the eye of the most dangerous son of a mafia group, who in turn tries to make his life a living hell. this one is really graphic, be careful)
Bloody Monday
(a cyber terrorist group tries to destroy tokyo with one of the most dangerous neurotoxins know to man. the government enlists the help of a wizard-class hacker, a young man, as the last defense.)
PEAK
(in korea, youths of 20 are required to enlist in the army. you can however join the mountain rescue police instead. this story is about the mountain rescue police, and the messed up shit that happens)
Honorable Mention
Hotel since A.D. 2079 (short manga that were created by the same guy who made Sun Ken Rock. descriptions below-there are several stories)
- Hotel since A.D. 2079: It’s an updated version of Hotel – since 2079 (korean version) with a different ending. A computer continues to live on in order to complete a mission in a world where all life, including Mankind, has gone extinct. This is a record of those 27 million years of its heroic struggle.
- Present:Hanako suffers from a terrible disease. After awakening from a deep slumber, Hanako has only three days to live. During those three days, her husband, Takao, must endure a heart-breaking experience, knowing that the person Hanako really loves isn't him.
- It was all for the tuna: Tunas went extinct and Jun Shiozaki will do everything possible and imaginable to bring them back. A perfect mix of Sci-Fi and Humor.
- Stephanos: Set in modern-day Japan, our main character Noriko finds out that she is pregnant with her lover Matsumura’s baby. He, however, is an important doctor with a family and everything already. Noriko wants to have the baby, but Matsumura says that it’s actually a rapidly growing cancer and that they have to remove it immediately. It might also be neither of these things…
- Diadem: A quest for freedom led by Lilith.
