to sum up. WATCH THE DAMN 3 MOVIE SPECIAL THING ON NETFLIX OR DOWNLOAD THEM (i dont care which). I want to be able to talk to someone who has seen it.
oh yeah, uh....if you have seen it already......tell me what you think below.

Are you talking about the Sherlock TV series, where each "episode" is 1.5 hours long? Season 1 and 2 are on Netflix, so 6 "episodes" total. Season 3 starts soon, but it likely won't be on Netflix for another year.
I've seen all of the ones aired so far, and it's a fantastic show. It's the best interpretation of Sherlock I've ever seen, but that's no surprise when it's written by Steven Moffat.

Sherlock is AMAZING. Season 3 episode one just premiered on New Years Day. I intend to watch it as soon as I get home today!
I love how modern this interpretation of it is. Benedict Cumberbatch does a good job at playing a witty, self absorbed genius.

Indeed. I especially like how despite being modern interpretation, it stays faithful to key elements of the original stories. For example, in both the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novels and the new Steven Moffat episodes, Watson is a military doctor returning from Afghanistan, they live at 221B Baker Street, and (more subtly) Sherlock's character is introverted and anti-social; as opposed to Robert Downey Jr.'s version who is eccentric and more outgoing.
It makes me think of Baz Luhrmann's version of Romeo and Juliet; new setting, but true to the original concept.
